August 31, 2023, marked a momentous occasion for aspiring entrepreneurs and business enthusiasts in Tirupati as the city came alive with the celebration of Entrepreneurship Day at the SVU Auditorium.
The event was graced by distinguished guests, including Dr. Abhilasha Gaur, CEO of the Electronics Sector Skill Council of India (MEITY – New Delhi), and Sri. N. Sudheer Kumar, Director of Capacity Building & Public Outreach at ISRO-HR Bangalore.
Fostering Innovation and Collaboration
The day began with an atmosphere buzzing with excitement and anticipation. Entrepreneurs, students, and professionals from various sectors gathered to celebrate the spirit of entrepreneurship, innovation, and collaboration.
Dr. Abhilasha Gaur, a prominent figure in the field of electronics and skill development, delivered an inspiring keynote address. She emphasized the importance of skills and knowledge in the rapidly evolving landscape of the electronics sector. Dr. Gaur’s insights and vision for India’s electronics industry left the audience motivated and eager to explore new opportunities.
Emphasising the importance of the Electronic Sector Skill Council, she said the ESSCI’s MoU with SV University lays the path for developing the skills of faculties through faculty development programmes and the skill-based training programmes for the students in the university and the students from the neighbouring colleges also. Prof S Vijaya Bhaskara Rao, Dean R&D and OVS Reddy coordinators of RUSA inaugurated the programme and addressed the students while University Registrar Prof OM Hussain explained about the facilities made available for the development of a Startup Ecosystem and Sustainable Innovation and Incubation Centre.
Sri. N. Sudheer Kumar, representing ISRO, shared the organization’s journey of innovation and success in space technology. His speech highlighted the significance of public-private partnerships in fostering innovation and building a strong entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Signing the MOU with Eco Finix – EFI Energy
A significant highlight of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the organizers and Eco Finix – EFI Energy, a pioneering company in the field of green hydrogen production. This partnership is set to open new avenues for sustainable energy solutions in Tirupati and beyond. The collaboration aims to promote research and development in green hydrogen technology and create opportunities for local entrepreneurs to contribute to a greener future.
Prizes were given to the student winners in the various competitions held including quizzes, posters, slogan contests, startup ecosystem in SV University and also the University Incubation and Innovation Centre logo as part of the week-long celebrations. Trendel – Revolutionizing E-Commerce
The Entrepreneurship Day celebration also witnessed the grand launch of Trendel, an innovative e-commerce platform with Android and iOS apps.
